Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 Live Event Countdown: When Does the In-Game Event Begin?

It seems like the developers at Epic Games have some crazy plans for the company’s hit Battle Royale title, Fortnite. In Chapter 2 Season 7, fans have noticed some strange situations becoming prevalent around the Island. This includes the weird abduction of many NPCs by the aliens. But, fans might not receive much answers about it until the end of Season 7 in September.

However, it seems like the developers have other massive short-term plans for the players in the game. Recently, a countdown has appeared in the game, and it seems like it’s a pre-cursor for the arrival of a new live-event in Fortnite.

New Fortnite live event on Friday, August 6

Recently, an Abductor surfaced right in the middle of the map. Players can travel to the ship floating above and they can notice a giant countdown on it. Many fans knew about the existence of a countdown to a live event because of some leaks from dataminers. The leaks showcased the graphics of this countdown, which showed up a few hours ago.

The countdown is currently showcasing the time remaining for the start of an upcoming live event in Fortnite. According to it, the event will happen on Friday, August 6. The clock will strike zero on that day at 6 PM ET/3 PM PT/11 PM BST.

Is the Ariana Grande concert finally happening?

Over the past few weeks, many leaks have pointed to the destruction of some of the major POIs in Fortnite. This includes Coral Castle, which has been teased by many to be abducted soon. The upcoming live event seems to be the perfect opportunity for the developers at Epic Games to showcase the power of the enemies in the aliens that the players will have to face.

Along with that, many players believe that this live event won’t have any destruction or abduction from the aliens. Fans noted that the developers might finally showcase the leaked Ariana Grande virtual concert. Following the massive success with the concerts from Travis Scott and Marshmello, it seems like the developers have a home-run in their hand with the Grammy winning pop star.

It remains to be seen how the live event will play out. Many fans have a lot of theories on what to expect from it. However, fans should know that they should never trust the developers as they can always pull off a massive surprise.
