There are two types of people when it comes to Fortnite events. The first type wants all the information before the event starts. They look for all the leaks available on the internet and share them once they come across a few. The other type waits patiently till the showdown to enjoy the event live with all the intended surprises.

Fortnite has a ton of data miners that live off the thirst of the players from the first group. Apart from the publically available leaks, or the ones that the developers let them use, they data mine the files of the game and leak content exclusively, and upload it on the internet.

A lot of people frown upon this and call it unethical as it ruins the experience for others. However, on the flip side, if one does not wish to know the details of upcoming updates and events, they can simply avoid reading such leaks.

Fortnite data miner vows to stick to leaks that are “allowed”

During the peak years of his career, HYPEX was also uploading content that he had data mined. However, he admitted that it is just “small leakers” who upload such content. According to him, these leakers “are tweeting event related shit or cringe unnecessary teasers starving for attention & impressions.”

He also added that he found himself uploading event related leaks “accidentally”. Therefore, to make up for his oversight, he has decided that he won’t upload such content anymore. He finally broke the silence on his decision to not upload any leaks in a Twitter post.

HYPEX said that his previous choice “was just tearing down what the devs worked on for months”. Therefore, he has decided to do the right thing and stick to the leaks that the developers allow others to access.

His choice might be a welcome one for the gaming community, as many do not want spoilers for major events, especially an event such as the season finale, which fans have been waiting for since a long time. Tune in live with your friends on December 1 to watch Galactus finally reach the island.
