According to some leaks, the new update will have several new skins, items and challenges for the players.

Epic Games might surprise Fortnite players with an early update

A lot of leaks suggest that the Halloween update will release early this year, and there are legitimate reasons to support this. First and foremost, the battle bus will end this Wednesday and it will most likely be replaced by the Halloween battle bus.

Some Week 9 challenges are also missing and they might arrive with the new update. According to a Twitter post, developers have pushed a lot of skins to stage recently, meaning that the update is very close to a wrap.

Another Twitter post by a Fortnite-Intel handle suggests that developers just have to fix a few bugs and glitches for the 14.40 update.

Apart from some new skins, fans can expect some new variables in the game. As a  result, boats and choppers may now run on fuel. Developers are adding three new sound effects in the game that include “Fuel Empty Warning”, Fuel Low Warning”, and “Fuel Beep”. However, there is no official confirmation for these new variables yet.

Fortnite Russia leaked the return of Midas in the game

Fans were already speculating that Midas will return as a boss with Ghostly Ghost Henchmen for Halloween this year. Fortnite Russia accidentally confirmed this leak:

Despite the confirmation on Midas’ return, there is no information on his fresh look and motive. Midas is a fan-favorite, and Epic Games wouldn’t want him to be an enemy. The character will most probably return as an ally and help Marvel’s superheroes in their battle against Galactus.
