Fortnite: Pros Get Competitive Warning For Teaming Accusations

Why a sudden discount on Fortnite?

Have you seen the recent hype with Fall Guys? Or Animal Crossings: New Horizons? Streamers are going gaga over these new titles. Fortnite has dropped down the priority list for many players. This is highly concerning for Epic, considering Fortnite has been their most successful title, for so many years now.

This move looks like a desperate attempt to make players spend more money on the game and have creators come back. According to their blog, creators will earn more from Support-A-creator tags due to this discount offer.

Epic has also announced they are working to support more currencies for Epic Direct payment.

It is also news now that Epic has openly challenged Apple and Google for the 30% cut they take from their respective app stores. It is a bold move that CEO Tim Sweeney is ready to take. He is practically inviting a fight from two of the biggest monopolies on the market.

It is expected that this option to ‘direct pay’ Epic will be shut down but at the moment we don’t know exactly how. Previously, Epic had done the same thing with Steam by rejecting their store and creating their own. This time around, the fight seems a lot bigger and we have got to wait to see how Apple or Google choose to respond. Till then, rush to buy the cheaper V-Bucks.
