

With every passing day, Epic Games is taking Fortnite to a whole new level. With respect to new game modes, we have seen how Party Royale has been so popular for people. This time in season 3, we are going to see another one of these events. Fortnite Party Royale will play host to ESPN 8: The Ocho, airing a marathon of some of the most unusual games in existence on August 8 at 9 am.

Party Royale has been a standout feature ever since it released. Most readily it can be described as a “experimental” game mode. The activities that are designed for this mode make it so special. We have seen before how Epic brings in artists to conduct the party royale. Here the conventional sense of Fortnite is changed. The feature has been prevalent and wildy-praised as it brings back the fun element.

ESPN 8: The Ocho, it’s ESPN’s substitute channel for the wildest sports in presence. It is featuring all the insane and mindblowing games out there. For instance, Cornhole, Spikeball, Death Diving etc., they bring out a different side of competitiveness. Here it is definitely more about having fun than being a winner.

One might wonder why Epic did not go for concerts and movies live as they have in the past. Perhaps its because that is a tested method of attracting people in the game. This time it has to have a different approach and see how things work.

Epic Games deserves credit for thinking of such a move. Fortnite Party Royale can be a perfect match for something surprising and yet entertaining like the Ocho. ESPN 8 is quite tricky with its challenges, and for them to have a newly refurbished viewership is impressive.

The out of the box thinking from Epic Games deserves applause as they have successfully mixed two sporting events in one. The game has felt much less monotonous since the addition of party royale. Thus, initiatives like these really help with keeping the community happy and close-knit.
