Players pull off a lot of things while gaming; some cheat using hacks, some match fix beforehand and some even group up unfairly to win. One such incident happened during the Fortnite Champion Series ( FNCS) Finals.

FNCS, this time, was divided into two separate tournaments. One for all PC players and the other for console and mobile players. The official Epic Games statement can be read below:

“In this season of FNCS, there will be two tournament tracks: one for players on PC, and one for players on console and mobile. Each track will have equal prizing and their own champions. Keep in mind, and this is mission-critical, your Duos partner needs to be in the same platform group. This means that PC players cannot partner with console and mobile players.”

Fortnite – players flouting rules?

With so many regulations, you’d expect the Series to do exceptionally well. Apparently, that wasn’t the case as Nick Eh 30 has accused some players of grouping up during the series.

Nicholas “Nick Eh 30” Amyoony is a YouTuber, professional player, and streamer who has been active in the game for a while. He took to Twitter and stated that he rewatched the FNCS finals and noticed something that does not abide by the rules of the game.

In a subsequent tweet, Nick also commented on how other players have to compete while top players have all their paths pre-decided.

“I watched FOUR players land at a single named poi EVERY GAME and not fight for ALL 7 games. They didn’t even look to take a SINGLE shot at each other.”

Pro players grouping up has grown to be pretty common in competitive games. Pushing one to the top through group play sounds good when it is a team match but in other cases, and especially on Solos, it is prohibited.

Another twitter user posted a clip stating that he found Cytinul and Leon from Invictus Clan teamed up. The video is a strong proof for Nick’s claim, although it is unclear if the player’s Nick watched are the same.

Epic Games has not commented anything so far, but hopefully, disciplinary action will be taken against these Fortnite players. Every game comes with its set of rules and such acts cannot be tolerated. We hope these are taken seriously and the necessary actions follow.
