As we are nearing the end of the current season, Epic has made a major change to the gun rotation of the game with the last update of the season. The current Fortnite 15.50 update made a major change to the gameplay meta. In order to bring an element of balance to the weapons meta of the game, Epic keeps adding and vaulting weapons.

With the latest update, Epic has vaulted the Desert Eagle adaptation of Fortnite; the Hand Cannon is no longer a part of the gun rotation. Streamers absolutely love how deadly the Rapid Fire SMG is in Fortnite

With the return of this feisty little SMG, it is no wonder that a lot of streamers jumped on to try this baby out. Just as before, the Rapid Fire is still deadly in close range. Popular Fortnite Streamer on Twitch, Scoped, tried out the Rapid Fire. His words perfectly describe the weapon,

“Bro, this s–t fries, chat! This s–t fries!”

And why wouldn’t it? It deals explosive damage in close range and has a rather high firing rate. However, there is a tradeoff while using it long-range. In ranged battles, the SMG deals around 10-16 damage, ranging from body to headshots.

Another popular Fortnite streamer on Twitch, Ranger, “fried” someone on stream with the Rapid Fire SMG while in awe of the gun. He then proceeded to exclaim, “Wow, this SMG is Crazy!”
