After almost two weeks of grueling tennis at the 2021 French Open, we have our two women’s singles finalists, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Barbora Krejcikova, both eyeing their maiden Grand Slam title.
In fact, before the start of the French Open, Pavlyuchenkova had never gone past the quarterfinal stage while Krejcikova had never reached beyond the fourth round in a Grand Slam.
Interestingly, this would be the sixth straight year a new women’s champion would lift the trophy at Roland Garros.

Where and How to watch?
France TV Sport and Prime Video are the two official broadcasters of the French Open 2021. Across Europe, fans can witness the women’s Grand Slam singles final on Eurosport. Various local European broadcasters including ORF, EPT, Servus TV, and many others would broadcast the final in different regions of the continent.
In the United States of America, tennis fans can catch the live stream of the final on Tennis Channel and Peacock Network whereas ESPN would telecast the live event in Latin America.
In South-East Asia, Fox Sports would telecast the Pavlyuchenkova vs. Krejcikova final. However, in India, China, and Japan, the fans can watch the action live on Star Sports Select, CMG (China Media Group), and TV Tokyo respectively. As for the Australian public, the Wide World of Sports would be the one to bring live-action.
The Czech tennis player, Krejcikova, reached the final after delivering a jaw-dropping performance, saving a match point against Maria Sakkari in the semi-final and winning the match 9-7 in the decider.
On the other side, the No.31 seed Pavlyuchenkova defeated her semifinal opponent, Tamara Zidansek, in straights sets to enter the French Open final.
Having never played against each other in the past, for the first time Krejcikova would face off Pavlyuchenkova, that too in the final of the French Open. The stakes couldn’t be higher, whosoever wins, the history is in the making.
