Initially, the match took player on Wednesday but a rain delay forced the match to be played today. The advantage was with Schwartzman as he took the first set but the interruption was a welcome sign for Nadal.

On the second go, Nadal began to fight back as he got his mojo. The final score was 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 in Nadal’s favour. In fact, Schwartzman became the first man in the tournament to win a set against the Spaniard.

Rafa will now face the winner between Marin Cilic and Juan Martin del Potro. hen he will either face Marco Cecchinato or Dominic Thiem in the final.
