The biggest night of Gamescom 2021 has arrived with Opening Night Live. Today, many developers will showcase the world premieres of titles fans have never seen before. The show has started off with a bang as developers Volititon revealed the long-awaited reboot for the hit action-adventure franchise, Saints Row.

The iconic series will return for the first time in 8 years following the release of Saint Row IV in 2013. Fans and critics had both loved the over the top humor and action synonymous to the franchise, and wanted to see more from the developers. For a long time, nothing came to fruition. However, they won’t have to wait long as the game will drop on February 25, 2022.

Saints Row welcomes players to the city of Santo Illeso

Volition arrived at the scene with an announcement trailer that can easily sum up the franchise in a nutshell. It showcased some crazy weapons, high flying stunts, and sequences that seem impossible for normal people to witness. However, that’s what Saints Row is all about, and it seems like the developers will take it up a notch with the reboot.

Saints Row will take players to the world of Santo Illeso, an imaginary South West American city. It will be full of criminal activities with both the rich and the poor conducting shady stuff simultaneously. The game will have new characters, new storylines and a fresh take on the world that won’t connect to the original. There will be many gangs that players will have to fight off with missions that will be crazy and funny.

Saints Row will include a lot of cool features that fans will definitely love. This includes building a massive empire that players will have to take care of by waging wars against enemy factions. Plus, there will be a ton of amazing weapons, cool vehicles on land, water and air that should exponentially increase the fun. Other than that, there will also be seamless Co-Op with friends dropping in and out with no hassle at all. Finally, customize your character with some of the most extensive features the series has ever seen.

Volition will soon reveal the gameplay trailer for Saints Row. However, fans of the franchise should definitely have a smile on their face as they have waited for this for a long time. Players can pre-order and wait for the explosive action provided by one of the most iconic franchises of all time.
