Amidst the Growing Hype Around His Alleged Cameo in GTA 6 Internet Trolls Target Ned Luke Again

Michael De Santa actor has made the headlines again but for the wrong reasons. The GTA V fame has been enjoying strong attention from the community lately. A lot of this attention is attributed to the ongoing theories that claim Michael’s cameo in GTA 6. Moreover, the actor’s response to the theories has only added spice to the speculations. But it looks like the newfound limelight for the GTA V actor has also invited some unfair internet trolls. In one recent episode, the protagonist of the last Grand Theft Auto release was subjected to swatting during a livestream! 

Ned Luke, the actor who gave life to the iconic character of Michael remains a fan-favorite celebrity associated with the Grand Theft Auto franchise. In fact, with the recent buzz around his alleged cameo in GTA 6, the actor has only garnered more spotlight from the GTA fans. While the mystery of his featuring in GTA 6 remains unsolved, the actor faces issues from the shady section of the internet. The Michael voice actor has been fairly new to the streaming culture. However, the streamer has managed to appeal to a lot of Grand Theft Auto fans in a short period. With the charm and wit of Michael, that’s not surprising at all. But just like a lot of infamous streamers, Ned Luke has also been exposed to unfair internet trolls. During a recent gaming livestream, the GTA V actor was swatted again. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the first time he had to go through such an incident. Here’s a snippet of the latest swatting episode. 

Although being subjected to such frustrating trolling again, the latter held his composure and dealt with it with utmost maturity. “Alright, well that was fun. Nice try. Didn’t work – didn’t work! Just another day in the neighborhood, just like Mr Rogers,” the actor calmly addressed the issue.

What is Swatting? 

The act of a spiteful person calling the police to a location and claiming that something serious enough is occurring there to call for a heavy-handed, armed reaction to appear is known as “swatting.” In the streaming community, it’s an all too typical occurrence. Unfortunately, it’s nearly hard to stop things like this from happening. 

A user took to the internet and praised how the actor handled the situation. Responding to the tweet, Luke wrote, “They don’t get to win.”

Earlier, these calls even lead to the police arriving at the GTA V star’s New York residence only to realize the source. In recent years, the reports of streamers facing swatting have only increased dramatically. Courtesy of the advancements made in technology, trolls have found much easier ways to track down the addresses of their targets and implement their malicious plans.
