The GTA 6 trailer has already broken various viewership records on YouTube and is now approaching the mark of 150 million views on the platform under just 10 days of its release. That’s probably because players can’t get enough of the gameplay and also because of the minute elements that the trailer hid in plain sight. The latest one happens to be in relation to RDR2.

What’s the connection between GTA 6 trailer and Red Dead Redemption 2?

For the uninitiated, Rockstar had initially launched Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018. The open-world title consisted of a story focusing on Arthur Morgan – the main protagonist in the game. However, there were other characters, too, involved in it. When the Red Dead: Online version came out, it further introduced other new faces as well.

One of the lesser-known and minor characters featured in Red Dead Redemption 2 is that of Everett Morgan. To be precise, he’s part of the Red Dead: Online storyline in which he is a bounty target. Everett is a criminal wanted for his involvement in a train robbery and the death of a train conductor. Interestingly, though, it seems like the wanted bounty target is also a known figure in the world of Rockstar’s upcoming GTA 6 installment. But how?

A passionate fan, named Tempest on X, recently discovered a wild Easter Egg inside GTA 6 trailer. It connects the futuristic game with RDR2 in some way. Apparently, there’s a poster of Everett that can be found in the trailer clip.

It’s like a situation of blink-and-you-miss-it as not many players have been able to spot this little detail yet. When Lucia and Jason kick the door of a store, at the end of the trailer, one can see a Wanted poster resembling the face of Everett Morgan from Red Dead: Online.

It’s still unclear why Rockstar’s team decided to put in this easter egg. Maybe the studio wants to suggest that the main characters in GTA 6 will also be on the target for their crimes – which is quite obvious to expect. In that sense, there seems to be a similarity here, right?

When is the second trailer coming out for Grand Theft Auto 6?

Even a week after its debut, fans are in awe of the GTA 6 trailer. It just speaks about the level of hype Rockstar’s most expensive game has around it.

Speaking of the next big trailer, it’s going to take a long time. That’s because the devs are possibly trying to keep the hype going by teasing less and revealing the content only when the time is right.

If one has to make an assumption, trailer number 2 might come out in early 2024. But it can also arrive after almost a year. Rockstar has become quite unpredictable these days in its approach. Hence, the best thing to do for fans is to wait till the next update from the studio.
