The devs only released a brief cinematic trailer for the game, so we didn’t get to see any gameplay or get any word on when it could release. We can anticipate that, though, as Dinga Bakaba, the studio director of Arkane Lyon, stated that it would be an “immersive third-person action adventure.” It is also stated in the trailer’s description that the game is single-player and takes place in Paris. Arkane Lyon’s development has “just begun,” according to a press statement, so it may take a while before we see it.

Of course, with such big associations from the project, they set the bar of expectations high. Although the skepticism around the same seems pretty obvious.

Marvel’s Blade will be the first Arkane-developed project after Redfall, which was released earlier. Redfall was also made in association with Bethesda for Xbox but turned out to be quite polar to what the developers would have envisioned. The highly awaited FPS title arrived in May and immediately made headlines for all the wrong reasons.

The Xbox-exclusive FPS has a rating of just 56 on Metacritic. Moreover, the title received a strong rejection from the gaming community. It was constantly called out for severe bugs and glitches and overall poor treatment. However, the developers made efforts to improve the game through a series of patch updates, but the game failed to reach its true potential.
