Not to mention the evergreen Zombie modes designed by the studio for all its Black Ops games.

As far as the story is concerned, COD 2025 is said to take place in 2030. It will likely be a semi-futuristic installment with the plot taking place five years after the events of Black Ops 2. The game from a decade ago was set in 2025.

Then, there are the beloved original characters from BO2 who are expected to return once again. Which means the nostalgia will be in full force to attract gamers who have grown up admiring Treyarch’s masterpiece. Technically, it’s going to be the real Black Ops 3 if one has to give it a fitting name.

As far as gameplay features are concerned, fans can expect new and unique maps in the fray. Recent reports have claimed that Call of Duty 2025 will have a mix of remastered Black Ops 2 maps alongside its own original maps. Oh, and don’t forget the updated movement mechanics with possible elements such as Slide Cancelling.

Furthermore, the Pick 10 Create a Class is rumored to come back as well. The most iconic Round-Based Zombies experience will also make a return. Not to mention the reintroduction of Custom Emblems, Classic Prestige System, original Zombies maps. Maybe a completely new Zombies-based storyline might get unleashed as well.

In short, GTA 6 is likely to be pretty good in its own merit, but Call of Duty 2025 will also not leave any stone unturned in becoming the contender for Game of the Year title. It will probably be a clash of two titans to say the least.
