Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been out for almost a month now. While many players are enjoying its Multiplayer experience, there have been numerous issues as well. The situation has got a little worse in the last few days, especially for the owners of PlayStation 5. It wouldn’t be far-fetched to call the situation frustrating for the players.

Modern Warfare 3 features various elements and also introduces things from its predecessor, Modern Warfare II. Thanks to Carry Forward, a lot of weapons, cosmetics, and operators have come to the ongoing installment. That’s a good thing for sure but what’s also very much visible in MW3, similar to last year’s entry, are the bugs and irritating gameplay-based problems.

Game crashing is a problem various COD users keep coming across. However, it seems like it’s become more frequent for those having a PS5. At least that’s what some players on the Reddit platform have tried to convey.

In one of the recent posts on the social media website, an individual pointed out that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been crashing continuously on their PlayStation 5. “Does this happen to anyone else?” wrote the user while revealing that they can’t enter the Rustment MP playlist. After every match or two, they have been forced to restart the game.

COD players are unhappy with the performance on PS5: “It’s maddening”

The actual cause of this issue is still not confirmed. Maybe it’s happening due to some weird, inexplicable bug or glitch. But it looks like MW3 is only going to keep adding more such instances, given the fact it has already faced similar situations since release.

“Yes. Happens to me on ps5 on rustment playlist. Usually crashes after 1 game but never make it more than two games without it crashing. Never crashes during match usually 5-10 seconds after in the main menu,” wrote a person sharing their experience.

Another gamer wrote, “Just crashed after a game of rustment myself. PS5.”

If one has to keep a count, there was a major gameplay-related bug a few weeks ago where players were able to plant a bomb outside the plane in the map of Terminal inside Search and Destroy. Another bug was later discovered which offered an unfair advantage to one team in S&D matches. Apparently, it was helping players on one side to get alerts on the Tac Map whenever an opposing team attempted to defuse the bomb.

Talking about bugs, a COD gamer wrote, “The game has been super buggy here in the last few hours on PS5. All of my letters are jumbled up? I’m getting my armory unlocks and sh*t I just cant read them. I haven’t crashed since launch day though.”

“Damn near every match I have to restart. It’s maddening,” wrote a dejected user.

Additionally, Modern Warfare 3 has also recently witnessed a controversial situation of AI bots in public MP games. Going by new claims, it appears the game has got fake bots instead of real human players in online matches. It’s been speculated that in some cases, active matches throw in bots out of nowhere to change the outcome of a game. And when that happens, they leave matches almost instantly.

Coming back to the PS5 problem, developers have yet to address that. This means players will have to wait for a response and then a fix for the crash-related bug can be rolled out with a future update. Hopefully, Season 1 will eventually bring good news for those affected.
