No GTA game would be the same without driving. It allows players to live out the fantasy of getting any vehicle they want, driving wherever and however they choose too. And what makes the traversal even better is the choice of cars. And in a year, players will be cruising around the biggest open-world map in Rockstar Games‘ franchise. The first trailer has already confirmed the presence of flying vehicles, motorbikes, and yachts too. But cars will always be at the heart of traversal in GTA. And with GTA 6, they will step it up even further.

According to a recent theory, the game will offer a unique option to utilize while traversing in cars, which will include a connection to another one of Rockstar Games’ famed titles, RDR2!

Fans believe cars in GTA 6 may function like horses from Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 consisted of a special feature attached to horses. Yes, they were among the most common ways of traveling across the map, but there was another purpose they used to serve. In RDR2, horses also acted as storage hubs. Arthur was able to use them to keep all his weapons, ammo, food, and also clothing equipment.

Well, some players who are excited about GTA 6 now think that Rockstar Games will probably add this option to the upcoming title as well. The only difference can be that this time, cars will be used to function as storage hubs.

On Reddit, an individual dropped a post that mentioned the possibility of having cars as storage hubs. According to the Redditor, characters in GTA 6 “will only be able to carry a few firearms on foot, the rest would be stored in their car along with ammo, snacks, medicines and first-aid equipment, and of course clothing items.”

Now that’s an interesting take on the function of cars. Considering that the GTA 6 map will be twice as big as Los Santos, it will be interesting to see if this is just a new feature or will it tie into the fac that there will be a lot more traversing to do. Will there be a limit to how much a vehicle can carry? Will the limits change with vehicle types?

Realistically, there are only so many weapons a player should actually be able to carry. In some games, players can only have 2 and have to drop a weapon to pick another like in most FPS games. In other adventure games, say The Last of Us, players can carry multiple weapons, but need to unlock slots to carry more than one handgun/rifle at a time or they have to cycle through weapons, and the weapons not in use are seen on the character. But in GTA, you simply cycle through weapons and they appear in your hand. Maybe they’re doing away with that in GTA 6? What if a player is using a vehicle to store stuff, and that vehicle gets damaged or explodes? The possibilities are endless and all one can do is speculate for the moment.

But once again, it’s just a speculation for now and fans should not get their hopes too high. At least not until there comes an official update from Rockstar Games in relation to GTA 6’s full list of features.

Talking more about expected options, some reports have even claimed that the in-game weather system will be extremely dynamic. Which means that players will witness different events occurring at different times. But nothing can be confirmed right now.
