During the peak of Modern Warfare 2, the complaints around Riot Shields were a quite consistent internet trend. A lot of gamers had raised their concerns on the Riot Shields being unnecessarily overpowered and how some players they addressed as the “turtles” missed this feature. According to the players, the Riot Shields’ greatest drawbacks include covering far too much of the player’s back, not slowing them down when not in use, and having no damage cap or consequences when utilized. The heat around the issue has yet again reached the community and fans are furious with the series of issues in the game surfacing through the web.

Fans express their disappointment

While the zombie mode has kept the FPS fanatics busy, the latest Reddit call out on the shield turtles didn’t take much time to garner attention from the community. Let’s have a look at what the gamers had to say.

A user nods in agreement as they call out the turtles from the world of Modern Warfare 2. They’ve been doing that in MW2 for months. At least you don’t have to deal with long range extremely fast firing fire shotguns along side the pansy riot shields,” they wrote.

A player has unfortunately surrendered to the fate of the loophole, as they commented, While it is indeed lame, I’m just so used to it.”

I played a couple matches and couldn’t take it anymore. I went back to regular maps,” a player expressed their angst on the issue and blamed it to be the reason for their disinterest in the mode.

Another player wants the community to boycott the map, and wrote, Just don’t play shipment. Let the braindeads play that.”

This player has a different concern with shipment. The riot shields didn’t bother me. The lack of EOD working in any manner is what makes shipment suck on this. Can’t even spawn without dying to a grenade. Really wish they would bring back a damage clamp for EOD,” the comment read.
