The first official sneak peek at GTA 6 finally has a date! After years of speculation and some viral leak incidents, the first trailer is finally going to release. And there’s nothing more that fans could have asked to kick off the holiday season! Now, as the GTA 6 trailer is just around the corner, fans have already started breaking down what the announcement wanted to reveal through the cryptic post. And seems like the trailer announcement itself has confirmed a lot of theories about the project.

Rockstar Games updates their logo hinting at a return to  ‘Vice City’ in GTA 6 

The year has already seen a lot of nostalgia through remakes and remasters, with Fortnite OG being the latest example. Now seems like Rockstar Games is also all set to bank on nostalgia with the most expensive entertainment product of all time. Recently, the developers dropped a trailer date confirmation for GTA 6. And besides the fact that the world is just a few days away from an official trailer for the sixth installment of Grand Theft Auto, there was much more than caught the eye. Here’s what the X post looks like. 

Now, all the veterans of the game might know this cannot be just a trailer date announcement. The post, which is also the updated logo of the developers, has a lot to say about what can the players expect from the game. Does the backdrop look familiar? You’re not the only one. The announcement certainly drops a strong hit at the fact that GTA 6 will be taking the fans to a new ‘revamped’ version of Vice City.

The theory of GTA 6 bringing the old days of Vice City back isn’t a new one though, but a supposed tease that aligns with the theory.

Looking back at the leaks that claimed the Vice City theory 

There have been plenty of leaks that alleged that the developers would be introducing a revamped map of the iconic Vice City in GTA 6. However, with so many speculations surfacing about the project, there wasn’t any official confirmation of the same, until the biggest leak episode of September 2022.

In September 2022, there was the infamous situation with the unfortunate leaks that are still considered the biggest gaming leaks in history. Through the same leak, fans found evidence of the Vice City theory. The protagonist was shown exploring an automobile’s inside in the leaked image. Next, the Vice City name was displayed on a building in the backdrop that the in-game camera perfectly angled itself to reveal. However, it wasn’t known at the time of the leak if it would be the map’s sole feature city.
