Toy Story turns gory
A post on Twitter that is gaining traction showcases a player modding Mortal Kombat to add Toy Story and Monsters Inc. characters to the game. These mods are only cosmetic, which means the mods reskin existing characters to change the way they look. It is to be noted that the hitboxes are often left unedited, which means players can enjoy visual changes in the game without altering gameplay.

The video showcases Woody from Toy Story, being used as a skin for Kung Lao. We see the character performing a fatality where fans can see the original animation for Kung Lao’s finisher move. The reason Woody fits in perfectly in this mod is because the cowboy hat that the character wears resembles the one that Kung Lao puts on.
The opponent skinned as James P. Sullivan from Monsters Inc. is shown taking the finishing blow and the fact that the mod introduces these childhood characters in such a gory game has many fans’ attention. Of course, the idea of giving a dark, gory twist to harmless characters that were parts of most people’s childhoods is not new. Who can forget Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. Sure it’s a major flop, but it turns Pooh and Piglet into bloodthirsty killers!
