Disappointed with the new changes in Locker UI? Well, not for long, because Epic Games is planning to resolve the issues soon. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is currently in full swing, and the developers wouldn’t want anything to spoil the party. However, when the makers made some striking changes to the locker UI, the community was highly disappointed. In fact, a lot of active players in Fortnite have called out Epic Games for ruining the system. Apparently, the reports have reached the authorities, and there’s good news for the fans.

From movement animations to weapon arsenals, Fortnite has been through a constant and impressive evolution lately. There’s no denying the fact that most of the game’s upgrades cater to the player’s choices and cosmetics. Moreover, the modes and celebrity collaborations are also highly reliant on community culture trends. Thus, if a change is rejected by the players, it’s only about time that Epic Games comes up with damage control. Following the massive heat the makers faced due to the changes introduced in locker UI, fans were speculating an official reaction soon. Well, here’s what Epic Games has to say.

A credible industry scoop has claimed Epic Games has assured action on the ongoing issues with the Locker UI system post-new upgrades. According to the source, “We’ve heard the feedback on Locker UI and can confirm that we’re working on it! You can expect to see more improvements and design evolution rolled out over the next few updates,” were the comments made by the developers.

There hasn’t been any official statement from Epic Games yet. But considering the credibility of the Fortnite scoop, an official statement, if issued, wouldn’t read any different. As mentioned, the big takeaway from the remarks is that the developers would be reconsidering the changes they have made in the UI and, most likely, would be addressing the issue with some enhancements. So, the players can expect some appealing upgrades in the locker sooner than projected.

For a while now, this has been the only highlighted fan request from the Fortnite developers. Wondering why the Locker UI in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 was strongly rejected by the players?

What were the issues with the changes introduced?

The locker in Fortnite has been one in-game aspect constantly subjected to change in recent times. For Chapter 5 itself, the system went through plenty of alternative interfaces and designs. This also includes changing the background for rare skin cosmetics. Overall, the system had been at the center of events. And the players weren’t pleased at all.

The highlighted problem in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 was the new locker user interface fragmentation. Its previous layout was more cohesive, enabling users to explore and alter many elements of their cosmetic loadout in a single, easy-to-use area. Every category of cosmetics has its own section under the new arrangement, which throws off the natural flow to which many have been used.

Many gamers find that this slows down the personalization process, and it also discourages innovation as it becomes more difficult to combine different cosmetic elements in unique ways. Fortunately, the locker misery for the fans will be ending soon!
