Son and Bone involves a unique combination of cowboys and dinosaurs, blending the Old West setting with a twisted prehistoric past. The devs at TeamKill Media LLC uploaded a trailer for the game on January 11 on Twitter. Many gamers were hyped to see the new title, and when one user asked the devs if the game would be another $60 Indie title. To this comment, the devs replied, “We are aiming for half that price, roughly $29.99 to $39.99.”

This is good news for players looking to join the action without paying for a full-size AAA title. While the trailer didn’t provide many details, it confirmed a 2024 release for the PlayStation 5. There’s no mention of an Xbox or PC version yet. Fans will need to wait for updates from the developers to know about the game’s availability on other platforms.

The post came with a brief game description which read, “A fast-paced FPS where you play as Sam Judge, up against dinosaurs in your fight to escape a world overrun with prehistoric monsters.”

In the trailer, players can see Sam Judge being transported to a prehistoric past while pursuing bandits. Players are equipped with a revolver, rifle, and shotgun. The in-game combat involves facing hordes of dinosaurs, as well as bipedal, human-like lizards. The trailer hints at a massive elemental creature made of molten rock, which suggests the game will have some epic boss fights.

Looking at the trailer got many fans pumped to see what they will get to experience from a new PlayStation exclusive. Many fans took to the comments section to share their thoughts on Son and Bone.

TeamKill Media LLC receives a lot of reception from fans about their upcoming project

One Twitter user asks the devs if the game will be “fast-paced” like their other game called Quantum Error. To this, the devs replied by saying that QE was not made to be a fast-paced game and that Son and Bone will come with different mechanics making it feel like games like Doom and Turok.

This fan pointed out that such a game would look amazing on PSVR2. To this, the devs replied that there have not been any plans for VR integration, as it is something they don’t have experience with.

Another fan pointed out the inspirations for the game and said that it looks a lot like Turok. The devs confirmed the suspicion and said that it is inspired by many other intense FPS games. Turok is also an FPS series set in the world of dinosaurs.

The devs seem to be answering as many questions as possible in the comments. A request for introducing feathered dinosaurs to the game to support some theories of the creatures being feathered back in the day. To this, the devs replied saying that there would be a “creepy looking big chicken looking dino.”
