Modern Warfare 3 was launched last year in early November with a revamped Multiplayer and Zombies mode. Later, it added the now-improved version of Warzone as well, alongside the introduction of fresh weapons. While most of them are pretty solid, they can surely get boring after a while for those who tend to go beyond the available choices. Now, those players have a reason to rejoice, thanks to a leaked intel based on Season 2!

Sword and Bow could be arriving in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – Season 2

While most of the players are currently enjoying the Vortex event, they will soon receive a huge surprise in the form of Season 2. That’s because the next major update is rumored to bring two special weapons to Modern Warfare 3. According to reputed insider Bob, the game will receive “a Sword and a Bow” very soon. The evidence of these two has been found in the game files, going by Bob’s post on X.

What’s crucial to note is that the Sword and Bow are expected to arrive with Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. This means players won’t get them in Season 1 Reloaded. The latter is likely to be released on January 17, 2024.

Speaking more about the Sword and Bow options, some players have assumed that they might be connected to a future collaboration. Few people have speculated that the game will have a crossover event based on The Walking Dead franchise. Considering the show’s setting and characters, the leak regarding a bow and sword makes quite a lot of sense. But it’s yet to be confirmed by the devs.

Last year, Modern Warfare II received an update featuring swords like the Dual Kodachis. But apart from that, such combat-based options have been very-very limited in Call of Duty. As far as the bow is concerned, it was last seen in 2020’s Black Ops Cold War. The game from Treyarch Studios had a Killstreak called Combat Bow; it also made its way into the original Warzone back then.

Interestingly, the leaked bow for Modern Warfare 3 is also said to be slightly similar! For the uninitiated, 2015’s Black Ops 3 had a Specialist named Alessandra ‘Outrider’ Castillo who used to carry the bow as her primary weapon.

All things considered, fans are going to enjoy the next big update. After all, who won’t like to dominate Multiplayer, Warzone, and even Zombies mode by taking down the enemies with a deadly sword and bow?
