PlayStation Plus is a subscription service from Sony that gives players an option to play many games online. This service gives players free games to play which are otherwise needed to be purchased. In the PlayStation Plus subscription, players get access of up to 400 titles which they can play for a small monthly price.

Every month, Sony cycles the games that it gives out within the service. That being said, December 2023 looks very promising considering all the titles players will get to see. On December 19th, PlayStation Plus subscribers will have new games added to the service. Players will get to play amazing AAA titles that will make their way to PS Plus. The one title that stands out the most has got to be GTA V with its newly updated GTA Online: The Chop Shop.

Which games will be removed from the PS Plus catalog?

Sony has announced the removal of nine games from the PlayStation Plus Extra tier. In December 2023, PS Plus Extra members will lose access to 11 games, including Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. The removal will take place on December 19, giving players a limited time to finish their playthroughs.

  • Damascus Gear: Operation Tokyo HD Edition
  • El Hijo – A Wild West Tale
  • Foreclosed
  • Friday the 13th
  • Legends of Ethernal
  • Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor
  • Middle-Earth: Shadow of War
  • The Escapists 2
  • Yakuza 6: The Song of Life
  • Yakuza: Like a Dragon

In January 2024, PS Plus Extra members will lose access to notable titles, including It Takes Two and Devil May Cry 5. Members have approximately 30 days to finish playing these games before they leave the service.
