If the latest theory is anything to go by, it seems like Rockstar Games may end up revealing the GTA 6 logo by today itself. That’s according to the market strategy the developer has already used more than seven years ago. But how does that make sense in the case of the next Grand Theft Auto in 2023? Let’s find out.

What is the theory connected to Red Dead Redemption 2

Going back to the days before RDR2, Rockstar had initially teased RDR 2 on October 16, 2016; similar to how it recently teased the next GTA title on X (formerly) on December 1, 2023. After revealing the theme of the sequel, the studio then revealed the main logo for Red Dead Redemption 2 on October 18, 2016. It happened two days after originally teasing the installment.

Eventually, the trailer for RDR2 released two days after the logo, on October 20, 2016. In short, the pattern included a gap of two days between all three major announcements regarding the game. And that’s what Rockstar might do with GTA 6 as well, according to an insider’s theory.

The X (formerly Twitter) page known as Rockstar Universe recently dropped a post on the social media platform. While making a prediction for the GTA 6 logo reveal, the leaker mentioned that Rockstar Games may share it as early as today, on December 3, 2023. That’s because two days later, the main trailer is eventually going to come out.

Well, this theory seems quite convincing enough. The pattern with the upcoming game appears to be similar to RDR 2. The overall duration between the first reveal and its trailer also fits perfectly in the case of GTA 6. It will be interesting to see if the developer actually drops the logo today or not.

Major details revealed so far ahead of GTA 6 trailer

While the studio hasn’t officially shared any game details, various rumors and leaks have surfaced in the last one year in relation to the hyped video game. Last year, fans witnessed a major leak appearing online, consisting of alleged footage from an alpha version of GTA 6. Following the clips going viral in September 2022, Rockstar had to publicly share a message to address the entire situation.

Talking about leaks themselves, scoopers have claimed, based on the videos, that the next Grand Theft Auto may have two playable characters in leading roles. And if the leaks pan out, one of the two lead characters will be a female protagonist. This change will make the upcoming installment the first GTA entry to bring such a transition.

Recent rumours have also claimed the map will be twice as large as the previous game’s map. Moving on, the pre-order date for the game has been leaked as well. According to the leak, pre-orders will start on December 12th.

Even with the trailer date so close, theories continue to pour in. Starting with the logo reveal, it remains to be seen what we officially get.
