A lot of GTA speculations have popped up online so far that are definitely not authentic. Even before the official trailer announcement from Rockstar, various self proclaimed insiders were trying extremely hard to guess the date of a proper update. However, Rockstar Games recently shared on X (formerly Twitter) that they would be releasing the trailer in December. Now that it’s known that the trailer is on its way, a lot of them have begun to speculate about when exactly it will drop.

While Rockstar is yet to even mention the date of GTA 6 trailer, some impatient individuals have now come out with their own version of a countdown before its actual debut. A website has been created recently with a live countdown to the trailer date!

This website is real. But it’s definitely not an official trailer countdown. Going by the name of GTA6-cd, it has shockingly amassed huge popularity already. It’s hard to believe, but the fake GTA 6 trailer countdown website has been visited by nearly 2 million users so far. As of this writing, the figure stands over 1,851,000. Moreover, this website states that the trailer will arrive on December 10, 2023. 

When is Rockstar dropping the GTA 6 trailer?

The developing studio has kept all the details under wraps so far. According to the announcement from Rockstar’s co-founder and president Sam Houser, it will release in early December, 2023.

Speaking of what one can expect in the GTA 6 trailer, things are still complicated. Going by strong leaks and rumors, the plot may feature two playable characters. If leaks and rumours are to be believed, the protagonists will be Jason and Lucia. The latter will be the first female in a leading role in any GTA installment.

Other than the speculations regarding the characters, no other story-based detail has been confirmed. So to get official information, now we wait. The countdown website may not be accurate. But we’re a day away from December, so the countdown has begun!
