It seems like the ghosts from last year are back to haunt Rockstar Games once again. A lot of fans still remember the time when an alleged GTA 6 leak consisting of multiple clips made its way online. It was the biggest leak in gaming history. Now, it appears that moment is repeating itself, unfortunately.

It looks like someone managed to get access to what’s been claimed as a part of the much awaited GTA 6 trailer. But is it actually the case or is a fake video being circulated on the internet?

Going by the reports from different outlets, the alleged GTA 6 trailer footage was initially shared on TikTok by a user named @azzarossi. As expected, this person has now made their account private ever since they revealed the clip publicly. Since the last few hours, the leaked video has been making rounds on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

The caption in the trailer clip mentions that the leaker “Can only show so much for legal reasons,” according to the reports. While no one has been able to verify the authenticity of this alleged GTA 6 trailer clip, it still matches descriptions from 2022’s major leak comprising different gameplay-based videos. There’s a large city that can be seen in the recent footage of a very short duration.

Furthermore, new reports have revealed crucial details about the person (@azzarossi) who originally shared the video on TikTok. It appears he’s the son of Aaron Garbut – an employee at Rockstar Games. But if that’s the case, why did the son of someone who actually works at Rockstar Games choose to leak the footage? And how did he even get the access to the content?

So far, various claims made regarding the clip are also getting removed due to DMCA strikes. However, that’s also not been verified as of this writing. It might be the case that someone was actually able to create a version from the leaks to make a very convincing fake trailer footage in order to get some attention.

What can one expect from the trailer of the next Grand Theft Auto?

While nothing from the leaks can be confirmed, the official trailer will set the record straight. The only official information out there right now is the date of the GTA 6 trailer. The trailer will release on December 5, 2023 at 9 AM ET. More than that, the devs haven’t shard anything, playing things close to the vest.

The story is expected to feature two main protagonists. According to rumors, the male protagonist’s name is Jason, while the female lead is Lucia. Further, few reports have also claimed that the game will have a dynamic weather and cop system. And according to theories, further fueled by the design and color in the visual of the post with the trailer date, the game could take players back to Vice City while also introducing new areas. Still, one should take all of it with a grain of salt.

Going by some more rumors, the game could also see characters from GTA V return. Even if that’s true, nobody knows in what capacity. Further, it’s not known if something that big could feature in the trailer or a surprise for when the game releases.
