While the GTA 6 trailer is still gaining loads of views online after 24 hours, there are various reports that have emerged ever since Rockstar officially released the clip. It’s already known that the game will be on PS5 and Xbox Series X\S at launch. However, it may not play as smoothly as expected by console owners. In fact, the open-world title might be locked at a low frame rate on these powerful, next-gen devices.

This is according to a new rumor that is spreading across the internet like wildfire. Not to mention that it will leave a lot of PS5 and Series X owners extremely disappointed despite having capable hardware. Right now, GTA 6 is slated to arrive worldwide at some point in the year 2025.

By the looks of it, the trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto is enough to convince hardcore gamers that it will be a visual treat. The hair physics on various characters, vibrant colors, and an increased density of NPCs and other objects clearly suggest that this Rockstar title will be very demanding. Especially, when it comes to running smoothly on high settings, no matter what.

Now, the latest update may not be good news for many players waiting for GTA 6. But it appears that it won’t support 60 FPS even on flagship consoles like Sony’s PS5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X. A new, yet unverified, rumor has revealed this possibility.

It seems like the only hope for console players to enjoy GTA 6 at 60 FPS could be the PS5 Pro. Various leaks have suggested that it will be more powerful than the latest, regular model of the device. Some reports have even claimed that with the next Grand Theft Auto, Rockstar will likely target a performance of 1440p at 30 FPS on the PS5 and Xbox Series X. On the Series S, this resolution may get even lower.

The same method might be used to offer 60 FPS on the PS5 and Series X. But then the graphics will be compromised, which is something no player would like to see in an extremely advanced game like GTA 6.

According to the makers, the upcoming installment will “push the limits of what’s possible in highly immersive, story-driven open-world experiences.” This means the level of immersion and vastness will be huge compared to past GTA offerings, as well as any other open-world title out there.

To be precise, the map of GTA 6 is expected to be the biggest yet in the franchise. Furthermore, it will be set in Leonida, under the area of Vice City. As far as map exploration is concerned, players may be restricted from doing more of that in the opening hours of the game.

This is something certain people have noticed after observing an ankle monitor worn by one of the two main protagonists in the recently revealed key art. The ankle monitor will possibly prevent the players from going too far and discovering new places before completing certain story-based missions.
