Xbox Game Pass players should be ready to part ways with some games this month. Come January 15th, some big names are leaving the Xbox subscription service. While new games will make their way to the service, players need to prepare for the fact that in 2 weeks, some of their favorite titles won’t be available on the Game Pass.

In 2023, Microsoft surprised fans by adding GTA 5 to the Xbox Game Pass just about six months ago. The game is still one of the most played games, even 11 years after its launch. On January 15, the service will say goodbye to the Rockstar Games title along with 4 other games.

Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, MotoGP 22, and Garden Story will exit the Game Pass. Notably, they will leave both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S subscription service.

GTA 5 was initially expected to leave the service by the end of December. However, it is still listed on the Xbox Game Pass website. Despite the challenges of the busy holiday season, players may anticipate these games returning to the service at a later date.

While players prepare for the above mentioned games’ departure from Game Pass, there will be plenty more for players to enjoy.

Games to play on the Xbox Game Pass in January 2024

Microsoft will be introducing some new games into their Game Pass lineup. While the new games are not as impactful as their last roaster, players will get to see the addition of two new games in addition to many popular titles players can still enjoy, including Arkham Knight.

In January 2024, Xbox Game Pass owners will get access to Turnip Boy Robs a Bank on January 18th and Go Mecha Ball on January 25th. This month, Microsoft has more Indie titles in their focus. Although the next lineup does not introduce any AAA titles, there are many of them already available to play on the service.
