  1. Stellar Blade

A game every PlayStation 5 owner has been waiting for ever since they bought this console. This is a third-person action game that takes its inspiration from Devil May Cry and Metal Gear Solid: Revengeance. Very fast-paced combat, massive bosses to defeat, and an incredibly good-looking world to explore.

Although this game has been in development for years, there’s no launch date for it yet. But one thing is for sure: it will launch sometime in 2024.

  1. Rise of the Ronin

Set in Edo, which is a village that eventually became Tokyo. This game throws players into an open world under the guise of a custom character they create. With a horse, a grappling hook, and a glider, players would be able to travel through the world with speed.

Some are suggesting that this game is basically an open-world iteration of FromSoftware’s Sekiro, and it sure seems to look like it. That’s not a bad thing at all, as Team Ninja is pretty good at making such games. And it’s not even very far from launch. It’s coming out in March.

  1. Silent Hill 2 Remake

This is basically a remake of one of the best survival horror games ever made. A third-person survival horror game with an excellent psychologically crushing story to tell. No doubt this game would bring smiles to the faces of every fan of the original and make a bunch of new fans too.

The developer Bloober Team has not given a launch date for this game as of yet. But one thing is for sure: it’s coming in 2024.

Xbox Series X/S

  1. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl

GSC Game World is developing this first-person survival game. The first-person game will allow players to explore the radiation-covered environments in the midst of Chernobyl. If its prequel is anything to go by, it would feature some very hardcore survival mechanics and a somewhat realistic weapon-handling system.

This game was bound to launch sometime in mid-2024, but now it has been postponed to September. Here’s hoping GSC Game World does not push this date any further.

  1. Hellblade 2: Senua’s Saga

Ninja Theory’s Indie AAA game Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is finally going to launch sometime in 2024. This game will continue the story of Senua, who still suffers from psychosis and is now seemingly trying to help a tribe fend off some weird monsters. This game is no doubt much more ambitious than its predecessor.

Over that, Ninja Theory has crafted a photorealistic world using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5. And if rumors are to be believed, this game will launch sometime in mid-2024.

  1. Avowed

Obsidian Entertainment is working on this brand-new fantasy RPG. This game seems to be a more ridiculous and faster-paced version of Skyrim. The big difference between the two is that the game has a mix of modern and fantastical weaponry in it. The world too looks like something of a mashup of those magical places and steampunk.

It’s Obsidian; hence, there are chances that this game would be incredible. And they know quite well how to design some distinguished and enjoyable experiences. There is no launch date for this game, but some suggest it will launch by the end of 2024.

Nintendo Switch

  1. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

Nintendo’s latest remake is a game that was released a long time ago for the GameCube. That underappreciated console featured this cult hit. It is an odd-looking Mario RPG game that has unique visuals, excellent writing, and very interesting and addictive gameplay.

This game would be released with modern bells and whistles for the Nintendo Switch and probably its successor sometime in 2024.

  1. Metroid Prime 4

Announced years ago, this first-person shooter has been in development for so long that many people have stopped expecting any news about it at all. But it appears this game will launch in 2024 itself. A bunch of rumors talking about Nintendo Switch 2 suggest Metroid Prime 4 would be a cross-platform title.

If this is the case, fans might see it launch in 2024 itself.
