Sony has a long list of new titles coming out and some of the most notable titles are being published by Sony Entertainment themselves.  In 2023, we got to see some extremely popular titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Gran Turismo 7 but 2024 has a lot more coming.

In 2024, many developers like Naughty Dog and Insomniac Games are working on new titles that will hit the self. First-party Sony Studios have been working tirelessly to give players more games that can show off the capabilities of the PlayStation 5. From Marvel’s Wolverine to Death Stranding 2, here are the top 5 games that you need to keep an eye out for in 2024.

1. The Last of Us Part II Remastered

Following its original release on June 19, 2020, for the PlayStation 4, fans have eagerly awaited a remaster for The Last of Us Part II since the launch of the PlayStation 5. Naughty Dog took this demand seriously, and on January 19, 2024, the remastered version will finally hit the shelves. Available for pre-order since December 5, 2023, this version promises a 4k gaming experience.

Priced at just $10 for the digital version on PlayStation 4, players can relive the game that earned over 320 Game of the Year awards.

2. Helldivers II

Scheduled for release on February 8, Helldivers II is a unique third-person shooter game that’s already available for pre-purchase. Developed by Arrowhead Studio, this game adds a twist to the traditional zombie mode seen in Call of Duty, replacing zombies with alien life forms.

Players can embark on solo missions or team up with three others, strategizing their way to victory and reaping rewards for Super Earth.

3. Rise of the Ronin

The game is developed by Team Ninja who are known for their previous titles like Nioh and Ninja Gaiden. Players enter the Edo period in Japan where they have a choice to make choices and select the outcome of their destiny. The game gives players a touch of the philosophy in the tale that takes players through cities like Yokohama, Kyoto, and Edo.

The Grapple hook is an excellent tool for players to travel around. There are also other options available, such as horses and gliders. Players have the flexibility to combine the Grapple hook with the Glider for stealth kills, reminiscent of the Assassin’s Creed series. The game is scheduled for release on March 22, 2024. Pre-orders for the game became available after its announcement at The Game Awards 2023.

4. Stellar Blade

Making its console debut, Korean developer Shift Up presents Stellar Blade, an action-adventure game set to launch in 2024. Players assume the role of Eve, combating the Naytibas, an extraterrestrial threat to Earth.

Stellar Blade seamlessly combines hack ‘n’ slash gameplay with stunning visuals, delivering a third-person open-action adventure where players must master offense and defense to survive.

5. Concord

Firewalk Studios, now part of PlayStation Studios, reveals Concord, a highly anticipated player-versus-player multiplayer first-person shooter slated for release in 2024 on PS5 and PC. Unveiled during the PlayStation Showcase, Concord promises a vibrant sci-fi universe.

Each login becomes the start of a new adventure, with every match offering an opportunity to craft a unique narrative.
