Call of Duty is one such franchise. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 just recently dropped, and the game is about to get its Season 1 update already!

The Season 1 launch will be the push that the game needs to gain steady momentum. Players will get to see many returning as well as new maps, weapons, and operators. With Season 1 almost here, gamers are all excited to dive into the action. So what can we expect from it?

Sledgehammer Games has been quick to announce Season 1 of Modern Warfare 3. Players have been waiting for the time when Season 1 will be out and it’s finally coming on December 6, 2023. The wait is almost over and a lot of details about the upcoming season have been revealed.

For Season 1, gamers can expect 9 multiplayer maps to be added to the game. So far, most of the content has been reworked maps from Modern Warfare 2. With Season 1’s launch, players can expect new maps to make their way into the game.

The Season 1 of Modern Warfare 3 will also bring many new weapons to the game. Two of the upcoming weapons to look out for are the RAM-7 AR and the TAQ Evolvere LMG. One being a powerful assault rifle and the latter being a light machine gun.

Returning for Season 1 is the renowned 100-tier Battle pass, offering exclusive rewards and featuring the introduction of the Blackcell operator. The undead threat in Call of Duty Zombie mode evolves with the introduction of the V-R11 Wonder Weapon and Dark Aether Rifts. ​

What more to expect from the holiday event?

In celebration of the season, a special Holiday Event is set to bring festive cheer to the battlefield, combining seasonal elements with the intense combat that defines Call of Duty. Two new operators, ‘Nolan’ and ‘Blackcell,’ join the roster, each bringing unique abilities and character traits to the forefront.

Players can now explore the urban landscape of Urzikstan in Warzone, featuring 11 major points of interest. The gameplay update includes new movement mechanics from both Warzone and Modern Warfare III, such as Slide canceling and Tac-Stance. Horizontal Ziplines and a Drivable Train add new ways to traverse Urzikstan, and squad play seamlessly switches between Modern Warfare III and Warzone.

There will also be new weekly challenges and bundles added to the game to keep the content fresh. Adding a competitive element, the upcoming MP Ranked mode allows players to test their skills and strategies against others, offering a skill-based progression system.

The massive Season 1 content drop included new multiplayer maps, zombie challenges, and the Warzone destination Urzikstan.
