What is the worst nightmare for a gamer? Besides GTA 6 being subjected to further delays, losing your console may top the list. Imagine being in a game and somehow the circumstances lead to an unfortunate end to not the game but your console! As a matter of fact, this was the case for a gaming enthusiast when his Xbox met a dramatic end due to a heated rift with his father. 

Balancing personal life with gaming passion has always been a task for enthusiasts. While some manage to pull this off, a few are unable to crack the code resulting in conflicts. The community is no stranger to episodes of gamers being involved in disagreements with families and closed ones. However, this latest viral video of a father-son duo involved in an intense exchange of words looks like a whole new story. As the matter escalated, the threat on the Xbox console amplified.  

Furious father sends son’s Xbox for a swim! 

Recently, a snippet of a father-son fight broke the internet and also the hearts of a lot of gaming fans. The video showcased a father running with his son’s Xbox console towards the pool while his son screams in angst. From the looks of the video, it appears the father had a few complaints from his son. But, the son appeared to be preoccupied with the classic adventure FPS Halo. This being the last straw for the dad, he decided to take the harsh call. ‘Throw the Xbox away’! 

“What the f**k are you doing? I’m gonna call child services. This isn’t right. You cannot do this to your child. I have a game in there, Halo. You can’t do this. That means something to me. I made a commitment to that,” the son is seen screaming and pleading for his case. Although the agitated father seemed to have come to a decision already. “You should learn. You made a commitment to us that you won’t game too much,” the father stated and ended up dumping the Xbox console in the pool!

Quite evidently, the emotions are all different for the son as he jumps into the pool to seek the remains of the console. Now, who was wrong in the case is a debate for another day. The big takeaway from the viral video is that it is better to maintain a good balance of gaming with our personal lives.

Surprisingly, this isn’t the only case of players facing some disciplinary sanctions by their guardians. “My mom threw out my PS1 and gameboy advance sp and I asked where are those consoles that I had as a kid?
