In the video, Zachary Staines took an old Nintendo DS and after enough work and effort, he made the game run on the handheld. The requirements to play on a Nintendo are that the players need a Nintendo DS, a Flash Card, a MicroSD card, and a computer with an SD card reader. Firstly, players need to get a flash card that is compatible with jailbreaking the DS and need to load essential files onto the microSD.

The next step is to insert the flash card onto the DS and power it on. To play Minecraft, after the jailbreaking is done, players need to install the game. The game comes in the form of a port that players can download from the internet. The unofficial port of Minecraft for this DS is called “DSCraft.” This gives players almost full access to the 3D version of the game.

The fact that the Nintendo DS is a 19-year-old console that can play Minecraft might be surprising for many players. But with the way technology has progressed, there are ways of making games smaller to fit and run on less powerful devices. This has grabbed immense admiration from gaming fans all around.
