Rocksteady Studios is famous for really putting superhero games on the map with the Arkham series. And one of the things they nailed was character designs. So being the makers of the upcoming Kill the Justice League game, naturally fans were expecting at least the same with their upcoming game. And so far it has looked impressive. But while the trailer showed what looks like Braniac’s ship, a leak has now given fans a first look at Brainiac.

Anyone who has watched the trailer knows the premise of the game. Brainiac has corrupted the Justice League, and it’s upto the Suicide Squad to stop them. Further, not much else is known about Brainiac in the game, with the developers keeping it under wraps. But a recent leak has showcased an image that shows how Brainiac looks in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

A Reddit user shared the leaked image to the platform, but the post was quickly removed by the moderators. However, the fans were quick to glimpse the design. And it looks like the fans weren’t impressed. In fact, the handful of netizens who were able to have a look at the design were left divided on the makers’ approach to the appearance.

The design certainly didn’t look like the standard green Brainiac that we are used to. Incredibly detailed, Brainiac appears more alien than ever in Rocksteady’s rendition, which is more purple than the original green. Even if Brainiac appears more alien-like than it did before, the revamp is nonetheless intriguing. It’s also good to see that the developers kept the villain’s forehead diodes and three-circle motif, despite changing his color from the recognizable green to a more purple shade. This also led to a lot of fans calling it a rip-off of Harry Potter’s lord Voldemort.

Rocksteady’s promising looking Suicide Squad trailer

Of course, it had to be Rocksteady to make the Suicide Squad game. In 2015, they had wrapped up the Arkham Series. Until they decided to give fans a suicide squad game that picks up after Arkham Knight. With 2 of the 4 Arkham games. Arkham Asylum and Arkham City being the 2 best superhero games ever made, Rocksteady has established a strong sense of trust among the community. To work with the concept of players playing as the villains and going against their favorite superheroes comes with its own set of challenges. Fortunately, the official trailer drop doesn’t disappoint.

Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark look at their finest. Moreover, the conversations ensure the characters do not divert from the comics. You sense the witty charm and DC’s tone is taken firmly into consideration. Despite the fact that Brainiac is an alleged diversion from the core, the game mostly feels like a solid adaptation.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will release on February 2, 2024. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X\S, and PC.
