For many players, doing these missions felt like a role-play experience of having a normal-ish life which is very different compared to the chaotic style of gameplay GTA usually offers.

Doing such side missions gives players a different perspective on the game. Many gamers enjoy playing games like Crazy Taxi which is similar to the missions players do during the Odd Jobs. The fact that Rockstar gives players many different things to do in their games is what has made the GTA series reach where it is today.
