Shawn Paul Braden Couch, a social media influencer and fitness expert, has made headlines and for a very special reason. According to the Final Fantasy community, the workout videos of the creator seemingly look like Clive Rosfield slaying enemies with the sword. The fitness enthusiast usually posts workout videos with a sword, which makes us revisit the dark-themed narrative of Square Enix.

In the instagram reel, he wrote, “First time I’ve gotten that initial lift! I think it looks sick & The extra weight lifting I’ve been doing is definitely paying off.” He further wrote, “Also first time I’ve used reverse guard in a while! Love that I tried some new things in this combo that really paid off!”

You’re probably wondering how hard it actually is to move the sword around. The buster sword is made up of solid hardwood and weighs around 17.3 lbs to 18 lbs! Suddenly, the sword swing show seems more impressive. Also, what makes his workout videos more relevant to the character is how Shawn’s training has progressed over the last few months.

The influencer’s progress has gotten even better lately, as he’s able to handle the sword like it’s nothing. Everything from his technique to even his muscle development gives you the inspiration to go out and train. The quality of building up a trait through hard work and training when not gifted sounds familiar, right? Exactly a quality Clive Rosfield showcased in Final Fantasy 16.
