Jimmy Donaldson aka MrBeast is now the owner of an island! Yes, and the purchase was made in a surprisingly easy bid of $1. Situated in the Roanoke Sound, to the southeast of Roanoke Island and directly southwest of the Bodie Island Visitor Center and Lighthouse, is the 1,500-square-foot (0.0344-acre) island. Dare County tax records indicate that the island’s land value is $800, and it is included in the Wanchese Historic Mill Landing Marine District.

According to the reports, a non-warranty deed dated December 6 was recorded online on December 22. The deed mentions MrBeast purchasing the land from G. Tully Sweet and wife, Crystal Sweet. The transaction is listed by a dollar and the creator’s team also paid $27 extra for the taxes and fees of the property. The source also mentions the fact that the island had been under the control of MrBeast and his team for over a month and is now leased back to the former owner.
All these reports were recently published in a local newspaper. Now, the angle of MrBeast buying off an island for a month raises interesting speculations among his fans.
