A clip surfaced on Twitter of Jayne Secker from Skynews reporting Gibson’s groundbreaking achievement. But through the eyes of the anchor, the incident was an insignificant one as she told the Tetris prodigy to “Go outside.” And this did not sit well with gamers.

The clip that surfaced showed how Jayne Secker undermined Willis Gibson’s feat in beating Tetris. Secker starts by telling the audience that “Tetris is a game that can’t be beaten.” After this, she stated that the 13-year-old gamer beat the Nintendo version of the game. However, it’s after this that things took a turn.

After reporting Gibson’s achievement, Jayne Secker shared some unsolicited advice by saying, “As a mother, I would say step away from the screen, go outside, get some fresh air, beating Tetris is not a life goal.” This comment did not sit well with gamers who took to X to call her out.

The user of the tweet captioned it, “SkyNews is still telling people who play video games to go outside and get some fresh air, notably on the same day they’re praising a 16-year-old darts player.”
