GTA 6 is arguably the most-awaited game of this decade. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the game since rumors about its development broke on the internet. Meanwhile, Rockstar Games is taking its sweet time in developing the title. It will be 12 years since the previous installment when GTA 6 releases.

With this long period of development, fans’ expectations are at an all-time high. To be fair, Rockstar Games did deliver on the minute-long record breaking trailer for the game. While the GTA 6 trailer had everything that the fans wanted, some fans are looking for more realism. And comparison with the latest Rockstar Games release, Red Dead Redemption 2, is bound to happen.

Will the gore-filled action of RDR2 make its way into the next GTA title?

Since there is still one more year for GTA 6 to come out, we can only speculate what the devs have in store for the gamers. The game will be unlike anything players have ever seen, with lifelike characters and fluid movements. While the next GTA entry will be a new benchmark for AAA titles, devs will surely draw some inspiration from their latest release, Red Dead Redemption 2. RDR2 has amassed a cult following in the gaming community, all thanks to realistic storyline and gore-filled action scenes.

Some gamers want this realistic blood-filled fighting in GTA 6 too. With the storyline revolving around Jason, Lucia, and heists, making the game a bit gory will make sense too. However, this idea looks like something devs will refrain from. RDR2 and GTA 6 are set in two different worlds. RDR2 is gory because portrays the Wild West lifestyle. That was a time when getting killed on the job in a gruesome accident was just another Tuesday. Medicine was still comparatively primitive. And the guns were firing very crude slugs.

It can be assumed GTA 6 will have visible wounds that are semi-realistic. But that’s likely where the line will be drawn. GTA titles are known for being too ‘real’, with controversies about terrorism and gun violence shrouding the series. Furthermore, many players like to act recklessly in-game, like jumping off a flying plane or driving a truck through a crowd. If a truck plows through a crowd and limbs are flying all over the place, it will feel horrifying. Making these scenes filled with gore will leave a sour taste in the mouths of gamers.

Possible ideas GTA 6 can acquire from Red Dead Redemption 2

While the idea of copying the gore from RDR2 might not make it to GTA 6, there are many other areas where devs can draw inspiration. The biggest inspiration GTA 6 can take from RDR2 is the latter’s hyperrealistic World design. The visuals from RDR2 are in a league of their own. Be it the horse tracks in the desert or the wind ruffling the grass across a plain, devs at Rockstar Games outdid themselves in RDR2. And the same can be expected from GTA 6 as the water physics and hair movement in the trailer were hyperrealistic.

Another aspect in RDR2 that may influence GTA 6 is NPCs and storylines. The level of detail given to characters in RDR2, along with their well-rounded storyline, is commendable. GTA 6 is also going to present an intricate storyline involving a romance between the two protagonists. They can take inspiration from RDR2 in making them more life-like. Many gamers were amazed by how interactive and realistic NPCs in RDR2 are, making a big jump from NPCs in GTA V. The next GTA title is expected to show yet another big jump in NPCs and side-missions.

The Honor System of RDR2 is yet another feature that can make its way into GTA 6. The game keeps track of the player’s choices, sliding a scale between good and bad. This feature can be a great addition to the Wanted System of GTA titles. Adding this feature can revitalize the Wanted System of GTA titles, as it has become a meaningless system where gaining stars just means shooting more cops.

Will GTA 6 surpass all AAA titles?

While all these features from RDR2 will be a worthy addition to GTA 6, the upcoming title will also come up with unique features of its own. The game is rumored to have many enterable buildings (implying more side missions). Furthermore, social media and heists will play a major role in the story.

This means whether or not devs decide to add gore to the game, it will still be a major hit. Including features from their past releases will just be a bonus for the players. What features do you want devs to add in GTA 6? Let us know in the comments section below.
