GTA 6 will use the full power of the PS5. Even with Spider-Man 2 for instance, they took ray tracing to a whole new level for players who prefer better graphics. Now GTA 6 will do the same, with better game physics and lighting than ever before.

In recent years, many games have been working on improving the way water looks in the game. Even Rockstar Games has come a long way from how the ocean looks in GTA 3. Back then, Rockstar Games used the opaque look of the water as a way to stop players from going out of bounds by smartly claiming the water looked that way because it was toxic. Going in the water would slowly deplete the player’s health restricting them from leaving the map.

Rockstar Games demonstrated the progression of water visuals from GTA 3 to GTA 5. Each installment witnessed significant enhancements in graphics and physics related to water. In GTA San Andreas, players experienced the ability to enter the water for the first time. Since then, developers have consistently focused on refining the depiction of marine life and the details of ocean and river beds. And GTA 6 will be the most polished version of the same. Along with jaw-dropping water effects, the trailer has brought many other interesting features to light.

What else do we know from the GTA 6 trailer?

To begin with, the trailer confirmed Lucia and Jason as protagonists with a Bonnie and Clyde dynamic. Further, it confirmed the game will take players back to Vice City and get to revisit the iconic Ocean View Hotel.

Two new areas have been introduced as well. The Everglades swamp region and the Hamlet region are part of the lands of Leonida, Rockstar Games’ version of Florida. As players navigate the game, they will encounter criminal factions such as the Thrill Billy Mud Club in the Everglades region. This inclusion adds depth to the portrayal of the criminal underworld within the game.
