Dragon’s Dogma 2 has a confirmed release date, thanks to Steam! The wait of years for Dragon’s Dogma 2 has been frustrating for a lot of gaming fans, but the buzz around the sequel has been eventual for the past few weeks. While strong speculations were going on around a possible ‘March release window’ for 2024, the developers had kept a radio silence on the same. 

Ever since Capcom had teased the first look for the sequel, the expectations from the second installment had been set sky-high. Moreover, its predecessor being one of the most celebrated role-playing adventures of the industry, the hype built around the project seems justified. But would the 2024 successor be able to cash on the magic Dragon’s Dogma created back in 2012? Well, the stakes are high and fortunately, fans won’t have to wait for long to get all the answers because Dragon’s Dogma is just months away from its launch!

Capcom’s highly-anticipated RPG sequel has been subjected to a series of rumors. The speculations around the project were fueled after the developers gave a sneak peek into the world of Dragon’s Dogma 2 at the Tokyo Games Showcase 2023. While the world was looking forward to the premiere of the live event on the game, Steam started the party early for the community. According to the latest profile update on the platforms Dragon’s Dogma 2 is confirmed to release on March 22, 2024

Earlier, some credible leaks claimed the release date to be March 22, next year. But of course, a stamp of verification by Steam helps with the excitement. Also, considering an official showcase of the project is just hours away, there’s more to look forward to in the sequel.

The Dragon’s Dogma 2 Showcase is scheduled for Tuesday, November 28, at 1 PM PST/9 PM GMT. The director and producer of the Capcom project, Hideaki Itsuno, and Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, will be hosting. The teaser drop’s description states that there will be many “info-packed gameplay reveals” at the next presentation.

Why are the fans looking forward to the 15-minute-long showcase?

The first teaser to the world of Capcom’s role-playing classic’s sequel had garnered a convincing wave of attention. However, most of the fans were rather skeptical about what to expect from the game after the standards set by its predecessor. Of course, the reputation of Capcom as a developer did help the curiosity built around Dragon’s Dogma 2, but fans still wanted to wait for some more information to unfold on the project.

The latest teaser that was dropped by the developers strongly testified to the quality of the project. While the sequel promises to carry on with the features that made the predecessor such a big hit, the aim is to take a big leap from the immersive experience provided in the original. “All of these elements are elevated further through physics technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and the latest in graphics, to create a truly immersive fantasy world in Dragon’s Dogma 2”, the description of the dropped teaser reads.
