While players are waiting for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League to release, there is another charatcer fans would love to see. Everyone knows that the Suicide Squad is a team comprised of villains. With Deadshot, King Shark, Captain Boomerang and Harley Quinn, there’s obviously no shortage of villains. However, there are a few hardcore DC comic books fans who are hoping to see a sword wielding superheroine in the game.

The Arkhamverse has already featured some iconic villains like Deathstroke, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, Clayface and Joker. Despite a long list of villains having featured across all the Arkham Games, there is scope for more. With the introduction of the entire Justice League, many names come to mind, like Lex Luthor, Zoom and Cheetah. The possibilities are endless. The Penguin will be returning. And the game will also feature Gizmo. However, fans now want Tatsu Yamashiro aka Katana.

Who is Katana?

Katana (original name Tatsu Yamashiro) first appeared in 1983’s Brave and the Bold DC comic book’s issue number 200. She’s a skilled samurai warrior and her abilities with the sword enable her to fight for justice. She uses the mystical sword, called the Soultaker. The latter is connected to the tragic story of her husband’s death.

Since her first appearance, Katana has been a part of various teams such as Justice League and Birds of Prey. However, she’s mostly known for being in the Outsiders. It’s a team made by Batman to act as a private black ops group to carry out risky missions.

Additionally, Katana was also in live action projects like 2016’s Suicide Squad movie under the now defunct DC Extended Universe. The character was portrayed by Karen Fukuhara. Further, she was also portrayed by Rila Fukushima in CW’s Arrowverse.

Now, players waiting for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League want to see Katana in her full glory. Although having Harley Quinn, King Shark, Captain Boomerang, and Deadshot makes the initial line-up amazing, Tatsu’s introduction will surely make it fantastic. One can get an idea from a recent Reddit post shared by a user of Katana’s character concept.

The concept shows how Katana will be able to use her fighting skills with the Soultaker. For example, while traversing the map, she can use the Soultaker in a “Ghostwire-like fashion in the sense that it would allow her to flow through the skies, run along walls utilizing her agility, and cut through the skies omnidirectionally.”

Moreover, the Redditor also proposed the idea of having two guns. According to them, Katana can utilize an assault rifle for her primary option and a Shuriken as the secondary gun. Per the user, her addition would be fun and the “chances are high” given her backstory and the expected pool of future characters who may be revealed going forward.

With a month left for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, fans will soon find out if Katana will actually feature in the game. Further, the potential appearance of more characters remains to be seen.
