Adding to the list of video game adaptations, the Fallout TV series is finally here. Fans were hoping the adaptation would be revealed soon. And Amazon Prime has blessed the fans with a trailer from the show this holiday season. The show has already mesmerized the fans with its direction.

However, the show has a lot of burdens to bear as it will have to compete with the comparison from the game series. The franchise from Bethesda has already won the hearts of gamers with its storyline and gameplay, with some even claiming it to be the ‘best post-apocalyptic RPG’.

Amazon Prime shares first look at the Fallout TV show

Amazon Prime recently dropped the trailer for the Fallout TV series, showing the post-apocalyptic at its best. The series will be based on the events of the first title of the video game, following the adventures of a vault dweller, Lucy. The trailer opens up with Lucy departing from the Vault, ready to explore the post-apocalyptic world.

The trailer also features the first look at The Ghoul / Cooper Howard and Maximus. Ella Purnell’s vault dweller Lucy, Aaron Moten’s Brotherhood of Steel member Maximus, and Walton Goggins’ bounty hunter The Ghoul will be the primary focus of the series.

Talking about his character in the series, Goggins told COMICBOOK, “He’s not a ghoul from the game. He’s kind of a new entity.” Further, he added, “He’s been around for 200 years walking the Wasteland. He survived the nuclear war. He is a bounty hunter. He is as ruthless as they come. Pragmatic. He’s a rascal. He’s got a wicked sense of humor.”

Another surprising reveal was Dogmeat, a tireless, loyal dog from Fallout (1997), accompanying Lucy in her adventures. The series will also delve into the origins of Vault Boy. The trailer showcased blood-filled action sequences and moving dialogues, with Nat King Cole’s ‘I Don’t Want To See Tomorrow’ playing.

The show is jointly created by executive producers and Westworld creators, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy alongside Bethesda’s Todd Howard supporting them. Jonathan Nolan is also one of the co-adapters of The Prestige, which included a star-studded cast with Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale in the lead roles.

While Amazon Prime announced the Fallout series in July 2020, they only moved forward with the series in January 2022. And now, fans will not have to wait for the series any longer as the Fallout TV series is arriving on April 12, 2024.
