This Might Be the Next Big Thing Fortnite Introduces After 3 Years

Epic Games never stops. They keep introducing new things to their live service title, Fortnite, almost on a monthly basis. And that is how a company assures continuous support from its fans by frequently bringing new stuff to its game. With Fortnite OG, it went back to its classic map, brought back planes, and more. Now Epic Games is bringing something very different to their game.

There are plans to introduce a brand new minigame to Fortnite. And if some fans are to be believed, this minigame might just be the biggest change Epic Games has introduced to their long-running Battle Royale title.

Chapter 5 Season 1 recently made its way to Fortnite. And fans are enjoying everything that it has brought, like new weapons, new ways to play the game, dirt bikes and more. They even added a whole new train system . And let’s not forget the much-discussed Battle Pass, which allows players to unlock the likes of Peter Griffin and Solid Snake as skins. So what else remains? It seems Epic Games has no intention of sitting idle, and they are bringing an exciting new mini-game to Fortnite.

This mini-game is none other than basketball. Yes, after allowing players to kick a soccer ball and take shots using golf clubs, Epic Games intends to allow their fans to shoot hoops in Fortnite. Ardent fans might remember that this mini-game was said to be in the works three years ago. And now fans are anticipating that it will finally be released to all Fortnite fans. While this news comes from a known Fortnite leaker, it should be taken with a grain of salt till something actually materializes or till Epic Games officially confirms it.

Fans are anticipating that Fortnite will release this mode in partnership with the NBA itself. They might even release it alongside some upcoming tournaments. Interestingly, this wouldn’t be the first time. In May 2021, Fortnite and NBA teamed up to bring the In The Paint set, Shoot and Score Pack, Locker Bundles and more.

Seeing that the NBA might hit Fortnite Island, fans have started anticipating all sorts of things. Some are suggesting that the inclusion of this mode in Fortnite would mean its game over for fans of EA. They said this because EA makes its own specific NBA titles on a yearly basis. On the other hand, some fans are asking for a soccer mini-game too.
