The Xbox Game Pass is the best way for gamers to get access to a library of paid games at a monthly subscription. Microsoft constantly updates the catalog and players get to try out different games almost every month. Although the structure of the service was changed in 2023, the Game Pass comes with over 100 games for players to choose from for a small fee.

There are two tiers to the service: Core and Ultimate. Most of the games remain the same in both services. While Ultimate might have a slightly longer list of games to showcase, Core members have a lot to look forward to. In 2024, with hundreds of games in the Game Pass, there are many gems, but we believe players must lookout for these 10 games.

2) Remnant: From the Ashes

This action RPG, developed by Gunfire Games, offers a unique Soulslike experience. It provides players with a co-op feel in a looter shooter game. In this eerie game reminiscent of Dark Souls, players must fight against monsters to survive. Despite its similarities, it is an easier title to complete.

Players can access this game on Xbox Pass and enjoy it alongside friends. Together, they can discover new strategies to face off against terrifying boss fights that progressively become more challenging. With 13 hours of gameplay, it serves as a great quick game to finish before moving on to the next adventure.

3) Goat Simulator 3

This game just brings absolute madness to the screens of players. There is no stopping the rampaging goat from tossing things over, and there is no reason to. Players can spend hours in the game creating menace but the game also comes with a 7-hour campaign that players can complete before taking a kick back and relaxing in the colorful and hilarious game.

4) Rise Of The Tomb Raider

One of the best games from the rebooted Tomb Raider series, coming in as a part of the Survivor Trilogy, gives players a chance to explore as the first mainstream female protagonist in a video game. Lara Croft has always been one of the most beloved 3rd person RPG protagonists, and a powerful female lead.

The game gives players the classic explorer-style gameplay with many puzzles, booby traps, and treasures to uncover. The game gives players around 14 hours of story line and the game has great replayability due to its fun mechanics and beautiful scenes.

5) Cocoon

This indie puzzle game has been making waves all over the gaming community and also stands a chance for DICE’s Game of the Year Award. The game gives players 5 hours of content and is developed by the creators of the game Limbo, which we will see further on in the list.

Players try to complete the puzzles in a world where a fly-like creature delivers orbs to different devices. The game explores concepts of worlds within worlds which have become a feature of intrigue among many players.

6) Firewatch

Firewatch stands out as one of the best games for relaxation and exploration in a beautifully crafted world. Developed by Campo Santo, players delve into the story of a lonely camper who encounters thrills, mysteries, and love while monitoring fires in a natural forest.

Throughout the game, players will encounter various strange occurrences that contribute to the progression of the story, unfolding it gradually.

7) Limbo

A classic indie from the early 2000s that puts players in the shoes of a young, scared boy. Surrounded by monsters, in this puzzle platformer players guide the boy through his nightmares. The game has some moments where players will find themselves at the edge of their seats.

The black-and-white art style has become iconic in the indie platforming world with many other developers taking inspiration from the game. It can be completed in 5 hours which makes it a must-have experience for any gamer that has not played the 2010 indie.

8) Lies Of P

This is another great Soulslike title and it is made by Round8 Studio. This game will take an average of 20 hours to beat, where players will play as Pinocchio to save the city of Krat from Frenzied puppets to find the creator Geppetto. The game takes a gory turn and players find themselves in something that feels more like a nightmare compared to a fairy tale.

9) Quake II

Made by id Software, this game gives players a chance to relive the nostalgia of the 90s while enjoying the gameplay in modern graphics. The remake by Nightdive Studios gives players all the expansions that were released. Players also can play the Nintendo 64 version of the campaign.
