If you have not found your ‘ideal’ game mod yet, this Star Wars special in Halo 3 multiplayer might leave you amused. How often would you see Stormtroopers fight against the Spartans? Star Wars Battlefront mod brings a total of eight multiplayer maps to Halo 3! 

Seeking out a new adventure in space? Can’t wait enough for the Star Wars Outlaws? A team of seven dedicated mod creators has just released the Star Wars Battlefront pack for Steam Workshop. The Halo 3 game mod takes inspiration from the original Star Wars Battlefront and integrates it into the dynamics of Halo 3 multiplayer. There are a total of eight maps that players can explore from the original Battlefront. These are Hoth, Geonosis, the Death Star, Mustafar, Coruscant, Kashyyyk, Mos Eisley, and Scarif.

The devs had been working on the project for over two years. They had envisioned the wild idea of bringing a battle of Stormtroopers vs Spartans to reality in the Halo multiplayer. Quite evidently, the merger sits well in the action-packed sci-fi adventure. Also, the mod creators have claimed that they are planning to enhance the space combat and will be making some big upgrades in the space battles soon. 

It goes without saying that you cannot simply load the mod into an online game and expect to play against players you don’t know on Hoth. That power is solely in the hands of current Halo developer 343 (as one of the mod’s designers notes on the mod’s Steam Workshop page), so in order to play against your pals, you’ll need to set up a match and manually invite them in. While the new setup looks promising, fans also cannot seem to hold back their amusement.  

Gaming community reacts to the exciting crossover 

The gaming community has enjoyed a lot of nostalgic trips lately. No wonder, the Star Wars Battlefront pack seems so appealing. Not just an exciting crossover, it pitches as a promising callback to the ‘good old days’. Well, that’s what the netizens felt as well. This allowed many of them to come forth and share their reaction which ranged from excitement to intrigue.

One fan expressed how it’s time to move back to playing Halo, courtesy of the new creator mod.

Another sci-fi gamer tuned into their nostalgia as they recalled the addictive sessions with Battlefront 2. 

Additionally, another fan had a hilarious query for the mod creators, and the answer might be interesting, if we find out! 

Among all the reactions, there’s one disappointed Starfield fan taking a dig at the Bethesda epic.
