Who is the actress playing Lucia in GTA 6?

Previously, it was believed that Alexandra C. Echavarri was going to play Lucia in GTA 6. The Puerto Rican actress’ name got attached to the anticipated video game following a description she had mentioned in her resume earlier this year. On the ActorsAccess website, the actress was revealed to be associated with an untitled video game.

The project mentioned was from Take-Two, but Alexandra didn’t confirm it until last month. On November 28th, Alexandra Echavarri posted on her Instagram that she was a part of GTA Online. Her role included voicing the character of Lupe in the multiplayer title. But apart from that, there’s no other Rockstar game she’s been a part of.

Now what makes this post from Echavarri interesting is the timing. It came just before the official trailer date announcement from Rockstar for GTA 6, on December 1, 2023. So does that mean Alexandra tried to keep things a secret by distracting the fans and making them focus on GTA Online to stop them from thinking about her involvement in GTA 6 as Lucia? That’s something that is still unclear.

But Alexandra has definitely denied any rumor of her being the female protagonist in Rockstar’s next. It becomes evident from her response to a fan on Instagram under the aforementioned post: “Gracias for all the LOVE everyone! It was a true pleasure to work on GTA V. I am NOT in GTA VI.”
