Trolls cross limits as the Valorant streamer gets swatted at 6:30 in the morning!
Sam Oh, popularly known as sOm, is a professional Valorant and CS: GO player. While the Twitch streamer is known for his standout gameplay skills, this time things aren’t pleasant. The internet trolls have targeted the streamer with a swatting incident and what’s even worse is how the incident unfolded. According to the NRG eSports superstar, the incident happened at 6:30 am while his whole family was asleep. Thus, the latter took to Twitter and wrote, “To whoever did this you are genuinely a horrible person, swatting is not a joke and puts people’s lives at risk. Ill be back later for a normal stream, stay safe everyone.”

Quite evidently, this couldn’t get any worse for the Valorant Pro. For those unaware, swatting is the act of a vindictive individual phoning the police and reporting that there is a serious enough situation there to warrant the arrival of an armed, heavy-handed response. Recently, a similar incident occurred with the GTA V actor Ned Luke during a live stream. Now, the unfortunate crime against sOm only adds fuel to the ongoing debate around the swatting issue.
The streamer’s post sparked discussions about the cyber safety of streams again. Of course, with technology making so many advancements, it isn’t hard for cyber criminals to track down their targets. Furthermore, streamers are more prone to such mishaps due to their exposure to the web. But creating trouble for one’s family and loved ones just for the sake of fun, is it worth it? Well, the fans of the Valorant champ completely disagree.
One user sympathized with the streamer while blasting the swatters as, “cringe f*ckin losers.”
