Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been in news since the day it was first revealed. However, it has mostly attracted unwanted attention due to several features and gameplay-based aspects. Notably, it’s the situation of having a constant internet connection requirement to play the story mode with no option to go offline.
Developed by Rocksteady’s team, the next major entry is set in the Arkham verse after the events of 2015’s Arkham Knight. Now, the franchise is set for a resurrection after almost 9 years. Just ahead of its awaited launch, the devs recently dropped an unexpected update out of nowhere.

Rocksteady employee confirms offline mode
A Rocksteady employee recently confirmed in the announcements channel on Discord that they are planning to provide an offline single-player mode after launch. “We’re aiming to add this update in 2024 and will provide more details when available,” read the response.

For the uninitiated, Rocksteady had confirmed during this year’s State of Play that Kill the Justice League would need a constant online connection. Along with that, the devs had made it clear that the game would follow a live-service model. The latter part was also one of the main reasons why most of the fans began criticizing the makers for their approach.
Many players expressed disappointment while saying that it makes no sense for a single-player title to have live-service content. The game was previously set to arrive last year. Then it received a new date of May 26, 2023. Sadly, things didn’t work out as intended and the devs had to delay it one more time before confirming the official schedule for early 2024.
With this confirmation, fans can begin counting down with the game a month away from release.
