Well, the showdown has already begun as a recent social media development gives a striking update on two of the most-anticipated exclusives. 

Right from the showcase, the Xbox exclusives list has enjoyed quite some attention. Although Bethesda’s sci-fi epic couldn’t match up to the surreal hype, there’s plenty more the gaming fans had to look forward to. As 2024 arrived, it was about time we started getting updates on the games teased back at the Xbox Showcase. And guess what? Fable and Avowed are coming to your table soon and here’s why. 

Follow the Xbox exclusives Fable and Avowed, ‘literally’ 

The Xbox Showcase 2023 was one big highlight of the extraordinary gaming season. The announcements made at the Xbox Showcase certainly catered to fans of all genres. But two of the most celebrated announcements turned out to be for the Fable reboot and the fascinating-looking Avowed. There were some rumors of these projects facing some delays earlier. However, the recent social media verification of both accounts along with the Xbox brand connection is ‘all the stamp of approval’ we needed to confirm, it’s happening soon! 

While this might not be a massive amount of information to feed on, it seems important in the context of their launch schedules. Considering we know very little about when to expect Fable and Avowed, this slightest of updates suggests the post-production phase may be closing up pretty soon.

When can we expect the games? 

The reincarnation of the celebrated Fable series wasn’t provided a launch window back at the announcement. The only bit of information given around its launch was when the Xbox boss talked about bringing a Fable reboot before The Elder Scrolls 6. The developers would also be planning a decent window of promotion for Fable as the last launch under the brand happened more than ten years ago. So, the earliest Fable can come out is the second half of 2024 or to a longer stretch the first quarter of 2025.

On the contrary, Avowed the Xbox FFP RPG has a confirmed launch year of 2024. The year is also mentioned on its official X handle. Thus, fans can expect Avowed to launch much sooner than the fantasy reboot. Also, looking at the pattern of all the previous big Obsidian Entertainment developed games, it’s a strong possibility Avowed would be launched in around September-October this year. The Avowed developers have had a history of banking on the Fall season launch and with an Xbox exclusive, it won’t be surprising to witness a hyped-up Fall release.
